To check the buffer belt tension, remove the 7-pin side guard from the left side of the lane machine. With the buffer brush in the DOWN position, stand the lane machine up to the transport position. Loosen the bolt that fastens the buffer idler pulley to the machine and push it down firmly against the belt and tighten.
