The LED feature adds a little bit of bling to the machine. You can monitor the starts and stops of the conditioner as well as choose what conditioner is being applied by giving it a custom color. 

if you using two different conditioners, you can assign a specific color to it and will be displayed as the pattern is being applied. 

All of the preset buttons have a specific function that can be altered to whatever colors you would like to be displayed.
